A short history

Village Campus Ministry is an ecumenical, multi-site campus ministry in New York City.  VCM emerged out of a decade of student ministry partnership between local Lutheran, Methodist and Presbyterian congregations and Lutheran Ministries in Higher Education, a campus ministry non-profit active in the city since 1912.  Our shared ministries have been multi-denominational since 2015 and were operating under the names The Vine NYC, LaMP, and PRiSM.  In 2025, we decided to make things simpler and re-introduce ourselves to the world as Village Campus Ministry to reflect our ecumenical identity and commitment to building a village of partnership and support for students in New York.
